Black and White CCTV Surveillance Cameras

Just a few year's ago, black and white (B/W) CCTV surveillance cameras were used far more than color surveillance cameras because of major cost differences and also because of the poor resolutions and light sensitivities of color cameras. Today, B/W CCTV surveillance cameras are fast being superceded by color CCTV surveillance cameras since the prices of color CCTV cameras have reduced considerably, while resolutions and light sensitivities have improved. There is still a place for B/W cameras, however. In very dim light conditions, B/W cameras may still perform better than most color CCTV cameras, since they will provide acceptable images in lower light conditions than color CCTV cameras. Where color is of no importance, B/W CCTV cameras can still provide good resolutions for a lower price.
